Changes to Feed-in Tariff Statistics

DECC are making a number of changes to the suite of Feed-in Tariffs (FiTs) statistics currently published.  The reason for these changes are to help monitor and inform policy following a comprehensive review of the FiTs scheme. Further information on these policy changes can be found on the Feed-in Tariffs web page.

This document below sets out a description of the range of statistics DECC currently publish on FiTs and the proposed new tables.  These changes will take effect from June 2012, which will report on statistics to the end of May 2012.

The main changes are that the key data will now be available on a monthly rather than just quarterly basis.  This change, means we have also had to make some revisions to the publication timetable of these statistics to ensure there is sufficient time for our suppliers to collate the relevant datasets, that the datasets are quality assured both by our suppliers and DECC statisticians before they are processed for publication.  The publication timetable for the new FiT statistics can be found on the DECC statistics webpage.  The first publication date will be Friday 22nd June 2012.

If you have any comments regarding these proposed changes please contact Mita Kerai (mita.kerai@decc.gsi.gov.uk).

'Energy trends' tables

Since the publication of the Quarter 1 2012 statistics on 26th April 2012, DECC were notified of an installation that had been assigned to the wrong tariff code and the month in which this installation had actually been confirmed. As a result, DECC have made revisions to the statistics published for quarter 1 2012, which can be found in the updated table below.
