Offshore renewable energy is a rapidly expanding sector, and stakeholder groups have been set up to encourage communication between the Government, its advisors, developers and other interested parties.

Fishing Liaison with Offshore Wind and Wet Renewables Group (FLOWW)
The Fishing Liaison with Offshore Wind and Wet Renewables (FLOWW) Group meets three times a year with the aim of fostering good relationships between the fishing and offshore renewable industries.
Nautical and Offshore Renewables Energy Liaison Group
The Nautical and Offshore Renewables Energy Liaison (NOREL) Group, which meets three times a year, is chaired by DECC with a DFT Secretariat (Shipping Policy). It provides a forum for Government, industry and NGOs to discuss matters of mutual interest related to navigation safety.
Offshore Renewables Energy Environmental Forum
The Offshore Renewables Energy Environmental Forum (OREEF) meets three times a year and provides a forum for Government, industry and NGOs to discuss environmental issues relevant to the UK's offshore renewables energy sector. It informs policy-making and contributes to sustainable development.
