‘The Energy Challenge’ report was released in July 2006, announcing a package of proposals to help address the long-term challenges for UK energy policy. A series of public consultations were held throughout 2006/7 and together these formed the basis for the 2007 energy white paper 2007: 'Meeting the energy challenge'.
