ScottishPower CCS Consortium FEED
On the 19 October 2011, the UK Government announced that negotiations with the ScottishPower CCS Consortium have concluded. The decision has been taken not to proceed with the first CCS demonstration project at Longannet Power station in Scotland. Despite all parties working extremely hard on the project at Longannet, a satisfactory deal for the UK’s first CCS demonstration project could not be met on this particular project at this particular time.
The study has yielded invaluable knowledge in areas such as cost, design, end-to-end CCS chain operation, health and safety, environment, consent and permitting, risk management, and lessons learnt.
