Stakeholder workshops
DECC has held two stakeholder workshops on grid access. The first of these took place on 15 October 2009 in London, and the second at the Scottish Executive Offices in Glasgow on 26 October 2009.
Technical aspects of grid access reform
DECC has held a number of meetings with a cross-section of technical experts from industry to provide technical advice on the practical operation of the elements in the three options included in DECC’s August consultation. These meetings will help inform DECC’s decisions on some of the technical details of the proposed models.
At each meeting, contributors were asked to give advice as to how the elements of each option could be implemented effectively, but not which option was preferred. The aim of the meetings was to provide advice and practical input and participants were not expected to reach a consensus on all points.
