Charging regimes and policies
While the overwhelming majority of services and information provided by DECC are available free of charge, charges apply in some circumstances.
- Details on how to access information and the availability of information in DECC
- BIS Publications - some DECC (ex-BIS) hard copy publications are available at a charge. Search for these in the publications database, by putting Priced into the free-text search option
- Treasury: Rules on charging for the provision of information - the pricing of hard copy publications and the setting of charges for service by DECC (ex-BIS) and its Executive Agencies is in accordance with Treasury rules on charging for the provision of information
- Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts - requests for information which is not routinely released are subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. It is the Department's general policy not to charge for the provision of information under the FOI Act nor to charge for administering subject access requests under section 7 of the Data Protection Act.
