The Projections Advisory Group (PAG) is a team of experts, brought together to consider matters relating to energy modelling and updated energy projections (UEPs). It aims to:
- make an informed contribution to developing DECC energy and emissions projections
- advise on requirements and methods for greater involvement and communication
It is not a forum for lobbying from industrial sectors.
The group advises on updated projections that inform work on the Climate Change Programme Review and EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) Phase II (2008-2012).
Membership of the Projections Advisory Group
The PAG is made up of technical experts that were nominated by various industrial associations and environmental groups.
DECC chairs the meetings, and officials from the Treasury, Department for Transport (DfT) and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) also attend.
