If you would like to share your views about the Feed In Tariff consultation which closes on 23 December 2011, the best way to do so is by responding to the consultation.

This will enable your views to be considered most effectively by the policy team and Ministers.

We welcome your views and questions about our work and aim to respond to all enquiries within 15 working days of receipt.

Calling DECC from overseas

Some overseas callers have experienced problems connecting to our new 0300 numbers.

If you have difficulties calling an extension from overseas, please call our dedicated 24 hour switchboard. It will receive your call and put it through to a named person or extension.

Complaints

You can make your complaint in writing, by phone, or email. We deal with all complaints confidentially.

If you have details of the person your complaint should be addressed to, please contact them to give them the opportunity to sort things out with you.

If you do not have this information, please get in touch with our enquiries unit, who will give you the contact details for the most appropriate person. Alternatively, our enquiries unit can pass your complaints and comments to the most appropriate person.

To help us process your complaints please provide the following information:

  • the part of the Department which is relevant to your complaint, and a contact name (if you know this)
  • information on whether it is an original complaint or a follow-up to a reply you were not satisfied with
  • a clear description of the complaint and what you would like us to do to sort things out
  • your full postal address, phone number and fax number (and email address if you have one)
